At JobNimbus, our goals are built around helping you achieve your goals. A couple of problems we always hear about are communication breakdown, both with your team and with your customers or associates, and collecting on payments.

Today, we’re announcing some new mobile updates recently added to the JobNimbus app for iOS or Android that will help you tackle these two issues better than ever before.

Email from Mobile

We had an email button in our app before, but it just sent you to your default email app and that was about it. It didn’t save the email in the Activity, it didn’t automatically keep a record of it, and it didn’t let you add attachments from your job.

Now we’ve brought all of the best email features to mobile to let you communicate on the go:

  • Compose: Create your email right inside JobNimbus without skipping a beat. Just go to the job and tap the email icon like before.
  • Recipients: Choose recipients from your JobNimbus Contacts.
  • Email Templates: Auto-fill your email text to save time and insert your signature for a personal touch.
  • Attachments: Attach any photo, document, or other attachment from your job into your email.
  • Activity: Once you hit “Send” your email will be saved in the Activity for the job so you can have a full record of it.

As always, you will receive replies to your mobile-sent emails in your JobNimbus account and you’ll be able to track the status (Sent, Opened, etc.).

HOW TO START: Just go to any Contact or Job on the mobile app and tap the Email button in the action bar.

Collect Payments On-the-Go

Since the release of JobNimbus Payments, we’ve seen massive increases in payment collections across the board. In fact, users who have taken advantage of Payments have seen a 25% increase in collected revenue!

But a lot of you take payments on the go, whether they are deposits, small jobs, or final payments to close out invoices. With this update, we’re letting you collect money right from the mobile app, with ACH/e-check and debit/credit card options available. We’re making it easier for your customers to pay you for the awesome work you’re doing for them.

HOW TO START: Go to any Contact or Job with an open invoice, tap the ••• button to open the menu, and choose “Collect Payment”.

Caller ID

In business, it’s important to make and keep good relationships with your customers.

One of the best ways to do that is to remember them and to greet them by name. With that, we’re rolling out Caller ID for both iOS and Android devices. This allows your phone to look up numbers in your JobNimbus Contact list and show you the name of anyone who that number belongs to. It’s pretty amazing.

HOW TO START: Open the latest version of the app and you’ll be greeted with a message about how to enable Caller ID. Follow the instructions and you’ll be good to start seeing those names when they call!

Push Notifications for @Mentions

Now you can get notifications right to the app when someone mentions you on a note. This can help your team see those mentions sooner than before, and tapping on the notification will take you right to that note.

HOW TO START: Head to the JobNimbus web app, go to your name at the top right and choose My Info, then go to the Notifications section. Check the box under “Push” for @mentions and then hit Save at the bottom.
