This century has brought with it some amazing productivity tools and a great necessity to start using them on a daily basis. Project management systems, for instance, give you the ability to organize your business in a way that makes it easy to manage contacts, documents, and tasks. When a job comes in, it can be added to the system and be tracked from start to finish including the tasks and assignees associated with them.

Today we have a video that shows how to add a task to a job or project on the JobNimbus project management software. We take you step by step through the process and show you how you can add tasks to any job, assign contacts, and set up reminders to help you remember them. JobNimbus is a contact and project management system for the service and contractor industry. In JobNimbus, you can manage sales leads, job details, schedules, work orders, invoicing, and all files, contracts and pictures associated with a job. JobNimbus also makes it easy to manage tasks and reminders.

Today I’ll show you how simple it is to add a task in JobNimbus. At the bottom of your home dashboard is a list of jobs. I click on the job that I want to add a task for; then I click on the tasks tab to view a list of all my current tasks. There is a convenient ‘Add Task’ button on this tab. I click on that and a dialogue opens where I can enter my task details. I can name the task and I can even describe it in more detail here.

By default, this task is assigned to me but I can change that easily to assign the task to another user in the system. I can even assign the task to a subcontractor or other contact, even if they are not a JobNimbus user. I can set a start date and a due date.

Finally, I decide how I want to be reminded about this task. An email reminder will be sent on the due date if this task is not yet complete. I click on the ‘Save’ button and my task is automatically added.
